Believers, avoid being suspicious Qur'an 49:12

Al-Mutanabbi, the Abbasid-era poet, said 1,000 years ago in a beautiful poem:

إذا ساءَ فِعْلُ المرْءِ ساءَتْ ظُنُونُهُ

 وَصَدَقَ مَا يَعتَادُهُ من تَوَهُّمِ

'𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗮 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗯𝗮𝗱 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝘁𝘀,

𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗮𝘀𝘀𝘂𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗹𝘀𝗼 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗯𝗮𝗱 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗵𝗶𝗺.

𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼,

𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀.'

Honest people think that everyone is honest like them.

The thief suspects everyone of stealing.

The fornicator thinks that everyone is immoral.

The stingy person thinks everyone is stingy.

The people who hate you, think you hate them.

The people who try to take you down, think you're plotting to take them down.

It is often just illusions in their heads…

People tend to think that everyone is like them.

Next time we think ill of people, we should look at our own intentions.

We should be vigilant and never be gullible, but we should not always think bad of people.

There are a lot of good people out there.

Don't be paranoid.

People have their own lives.

Not everyone is after you……..

 يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اجْتَنِبُوا كَثِيرًا مِنَ الظَّنِّ إِنَّ بَعْضَ الظَّنِّ إِثْمٌ

'𝗕𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀, 𝗮𝘃𝗼𝗶𝗱 𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝘂𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀.

𝗦𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗳𝘂𝗹.'

[Qur'an 49:12].

The world is a reflection of what is within us ...

if we only see flaws in the mirror ... maybe our own face is flawed!
