The Double Standard: A Reflection on Masculinity and Femininity in Islam

Breaking Down Societal Expectations: An Islamic Perspective on Masculinity and Femininity

In a world where societal expectations often dictate our behavior, it's essential to examine the double standard that exists between men and women. A poignant reflection on this issue is as follows:

"Women are born on top of the mountain.
Men are born in the valleys around it.
A man is judged by how high he climbs.
A woman is judged on how far she falls.
Men have much to gain. Women have much to lose.
Masculinity is built.
Femininity is preserved."

These lines highlight the stark contrast between the expectations placed on men and women. In Islam, however, we find a more balanced and equitable approach to understanding masculinity and femininity.

The Quran emphasizes the importance of both men and women striving to be righteous and pious, regardless of their social status or circumstances. Allah says, "Indeed, the Muslim men and Muslim women, the believing men and believing women, the obedient men and obedient women, the truthful men and truthful women, the patient men and patient women, the humble men and humble women, the charitable men and charitable women, the fasting men and fasting women, the men who guard their private parts and the women who do so, and the men who remember Allah often and the women who do so - for them Allah has prepared forgiveness and a great reward." (Quran 33:35)

In Islam, men and women are judged on their individual actions and intentions, not on their social status or expectations. A man's worth is not measured by how high he climbs, but by his character, his relationship with Allah, and his treatment of others. Similarly, a woman's worth is not measured by how far she falls, but by her piety, her compassion, and her contributions to society.

The concept of masculinity and femininity in Islam is not about building or preserving, but about cultivating a sense of humility, compassion, and righteousness. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "The best of you are those who are best to their families, and I am the best of you to my family." (Tirmidhi)

In conclusion, the double standard that exists between men and women is not a reflection of Islamic values. Rather, Islam emphasizes the importance of individual responsibility, accountability, and righteousness, regardless of one's social status or circumstances. By embracing these values, we can work towards creating a more just and equitable society, where men and women are judged on their individual merits, rather than on societal expectations.

message is for girls who talk to any non-mahram or are in a relationship with them

𝘼𝙡𝙚𝙧𝙩 ! 𝘼𝙡𝙚𝙧𝙩 ! 𝘼𝙡𝙚𝙧𝙩 ! This message is for girls who talk to any non-mahram or are in a relationship with them.

My dear sisters please dont talk to them ,He's going to cheat on you, break your heart, don't let him fool you, whether he is a ordinary or a Deeni boy, because a Deeni boy will soon figure out that he's doing something wrong (Haram) and he'll start ignoring you, which will really hurt.
Dear sisters don't let someone hurt you, be aware and avoid these harmful situations.
"Even if he says he'll marry you someday, don't fall for it."

"𝙊𝙝 𝘽𝙞𝙣𝙩 𝙚 𝙝𝙖𝙬𝙖, 𝙗𝙚𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙚! 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙨𝙚 𝙨𝙤𝙣𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝘼𝙙𝙖𝙢 (𝙢𝙚𝙣) 𝙡𝙤𝙫𝙚 𝙖𝙘𝙘𝙤𝙧𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙤 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙞𝙧 𝙤𝙬𝙣 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡, 𝙗𝙪𝙩 𝙢𝙖𝙧𝙧𝙮 𝙖𝙘𝙘𝙤𝙧𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙤 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙞𝙧 𝙛𝙖𝙢𝙞𝙡𝙮'𝙨 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡."

And there's also a trend is going on if hurt a girl ,then you'll be rewarded for it,definetly you will get the reward but also remember this boys, what you're doing to girls today, you'll face the consequences later. Even if you think you've gotten away by hurting to someone else's sister /daughter, the irony is that you won't even realize when someone is doing the same thing to your own sister, daughter, or wife, and why they're suffering."

"𝘼𝙣𝙮𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙘𝙖𝙣 𝙨𝙖𝙮 '𝙄 𝙡𝙤𝙫𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪' 𝙗𝙪𝙩 𝙤𝙣𝙡𝙮 𝙖 𝙧𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩𝙚𝙤𝙪𝙨 𝙢𝙖𝙣 𝙘𝙖𝙣 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙫𝙚 𝙞𝙩 𝙩𝙧𝙪𝙚."

"So, my dear sisters, understand that these relationships are forbidden (Haram) for a reason. Beware of getting trapped in such relationships, as they are harmful and can lead to destruction."
This message is also a warning to boys/men that their actions have consequences, and that the harm they inflict on others can eventually come back to haunt them, even if it's through someone else harming their own loved ones. It's encouraging them to reflect on their actions and treat others with respect and kindness.

The Plight of Adam al-Bolandī: A Stark Warning for Muslims Living in Disbelieving Lands

The story of our brother, Ādam al-Bolandī by Shaykh Abū Muḥammad ʿAbd al-Ḥamīd al-Zuʿkurī حفظه الله:

"الحمد لله والصلاة والسلام على رسول الله.
Perhaps those from amongst you remember our brother, Ādam al-Bolandī . I ask Allāh to grant us and him thabāt and tawfīq. He was determined to stay with us for a period of time. However, the Kuffār have seized his kids and handed over his son, ʿAbd al-Raḥmān to two wicked homosexuals, and they handed over his daughter, Maryam, to two evil lesbians. Since then, up until now, he has not been able to reach them, even for a visit. Through this, you realise the harm of staying between the Kuffār.

A Muslim boy is handed to those who engage in indecency, so by accompanying them, he may turn towards what they do (of homosexuality), or even worse, embrace their religion (and abandon Islam), as he is unable to meet his father nor his mother, except if Allāh سبحانه وتعالى wills (otherwise).

And they gave the Muslim girl to two evil, wicked, Kāfir homosexual women. Perhaps she ends up on their path, or worse than that, she embraces their religion. I ask Allāh for safety.

So, O Muslims! Those who have been trialled with residing among the Kuffār, if you are able to leave, then leave. The Kāfir is not to ever be trusted. Even if he claims to uphold human rights, he is a liar! Even if he showcases that he is merciful, he is a liar! They are the most rough, harsh, and evil people in terms of their hearts, such that the Prophet ﷺ said:
((لاَ تُنْزَعُ الرَّحْمَةُ إِلاَّ مِنْ شَقِيٍّ))
“Mercy is taken away only from him who is wretched.” [Abū Dāwūd, 4942]

And the Kāfir is wretched in the first place. The Kāfir is wretched, [as Allah said]

{لَا يَصْلَاهَا إِلَّا الْأَشْقَى}
{None shall enter it save the most wretched.} [Sūrah al-Layl: 15]

{الَّذِي يَصْلَى النَّارَ الْكُبْرَىٰ * ثُمَّ لَا يَمُوتُ فِيهَا وَلَا يَحْيَىٰ}
{who will burn in the greatest fire,} {where they will not ˹be able to˺ live or die.} [Sūrah al-Aʿlā: 12-13]

{وَسَيُجَنَّبُهَا ٱلْأَتْقَى}
And Al-Muttaqqūn will be far removed from it (Hell).} [Sūrah al-Layl: 17]

Therefore, they are wretched, and staying amongst them may lead to wretchedness in terms of the Dunyā or Ākhirah. We ask Allāh for salāmah and ʿāfiyyah.

He (al-akh Ādam), was able to contact the government to seek their permission to visit his children. But they rejected his request and said that they (the kids) were given to specific individuals, and we have no right to enter upon them. What a tragedy! By Allāh, It is a tragedy! I was saddened by him today. How is he? How is their mother? When they take your son before you and hand him over to the worst of the creation, and you are unable to meet them, unable to see them, you don't know what state they are in.
لا حول ولا قوة الا بالله.

I ask Allāh to give our brother Ādam comfort, I ask Allāh to comfort him and keep him steadfast upon the religion of Allāh, and also to keep his wife steadfast upon the religion of Allāh, and save us and all the Muslims from trials, that which is visible and that which is hidden.

And the man is miskīn; a new Muslim, even before he got here he was uncircumcised. He was new to Islām, so we encouraged him to get circumcised, so he went to the hospital and got circumcised. All of a sudden, they took his children without any prior warning. If they told him to return, he would have returned.

He he had idea they had taken them both from their own mother, claiming that the kids had no one to take care of them and be responsible over them. So they gave them to the most evil care-givers (homosexuals), if they are even able to provide care.

By Allāh, it is easier for a man to sit with a pig than for him to sit with those who are deaf and dumb who do not contemplate.”

If he is asking for sex as a prove of love, he's just after sex or just to deprive you of your chances of entering paradise.
Sex between two people not legally married according to the teachings of ISLAM is a sin even if both both parties agrees to it or even if everyone is doing it.
A sin remains a sin even if everyone is doing it! nothing is good between two lovers like marriage.
If he threatens to break up with you because you denied him sex, then happily break up with him because he's just an egoistic agent of Satan trying to make you disobey God!

Watching porn movies before Nikah | Advise for young muslims

Watching porn movies before Nikah | Advise for young Muslims

In our society, there are many issues which hide behind the curtain.
Youngsters don't even possess the courage to present their personal issues before the scholars or counselors, as a result, strange diseases prevail in the society and lives get shattered.
One such issue is that many youngsters, especially men, who are suffering from excessive desire, their marriages are delayed and they want to masturbate or watch porn movies to relieve that.
They think and assume that instead of doing zina (committing adultery) this might be less sinful. We would like to address this issue in this post.

They want to obtain relief from this sexual anxiety, but masturbation or watching movies will NOT solve the problem and will NOT weaken the desire. It will it make it WORSE and will ultimately lead them towards adultery.

Actually, people who seek such a solution to control their sexual desires want to treat the disease with the thing that is itself the disease!!!

‼️Believe us, those who opt for such options to relieve themselves will NEVER find healing or relief in either of these two options.

Something that is itself a disease cannot bring healing from a disease; rather it will only make the disease worse.

This is no more than a passing desire and transient pleasure, but what will be left is regret and remorse.

You must do is strive to keep yourself chaste by means of marriage at the earliest possible opportunity. You do not have to be restricted by traditional social requirements; rather you should try to reduce these restrictions as much as possible and hasten to marry someone who will keep you chaste.

Until you are able to do that, you must keep away from movies completely, lower your gaze, and refrain from this secret habit.
You should also fast a great deal and strive hard therein and in other acts of worship and all kinds of permissible deeds that will benefit you in this world and in the Hereafter. Do not allow yourself any free time, because if you do not keep your nafs busy with the truth, it will keep you busy with falsehood.

‼️ Always bear in mind that Allah is watching you.

*The Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) also said: “O young men, whoever among you can afford it should marry, and whoever cannot afford it should fast, for it will be a shield for him.”* 🍃

Shaykh Saleh Al-Fawzan May Allah Preserve him

And the corruption of the girl distorts the whole family and there is no Strength or power but from Allāh

Corrupts the family and the whole house

And this girl becomes worthless in society

It is a more severe death than death, which is the end of life

It is the death of chivalry, the death of modesty, and the death of religion and morals

The guardian of the house should seek the help of Allah and be patient

He follows her until he hands her over to her husband

If someone comes to him who he is satisfied with his religion and trustworthiness, he submits her to him by marriage

Otherwise, he is responsible for her

Abu 'Abdirrahman Yahya bin Ali Al-Hajri's advice to non-Arabic speaking Muslims

Abu 'Abdirrahman Yahya bin Ali Al-Hajri's advice to non-Arabic speaking Muslims

بســـم اللــه الرحــمــن الـرحـــيــم

Answered by our Shaykh, the 'Allāmah, the Trustworthy Advisor, Abu 'Abdirrahmān Yahya bin 'Ali Al-Hajūri - on the 16th, Rajab, 1444H

🎙"And I advise my listening brothers from those who are Non-Arabs and are not able to speak Arabic to serious try to speak Arabic. And to speak it with his wife and his children and in his house and on the street and during all times and he is speaking it.

So he abandons what he is upon from the Non-Arabic language, even when speaking with his friends, they get used to this. For indeed we have seen a people who speak to you in the Arabic language, but if he sits with his friend in the same sitting and you are present and the people don't understand hjm, he turns to speaking Non-Arabic at that moment.
He gives you a word in Arabic then turns to his friend and gives him a word in Non-Arabic.

With the fact him and his friend are both students, they both are studying Arabic and they both understand it.
This points towards that he could be delayed in understanding Arabic and pronouncing it.

For from the purposes of the language is that a person oppose its people.
Many of those living abroad say they say to you, you don't need to enter school so that you can speak the English language, so what does he do.
He stays in the house of a English family, Jew or Christian, - they have this method there - so he goes with their women folk and their children and so forth.
They dictate to him what to say in English and they also give him Christianity.
So he comes back with the two, his head is spun by both of them.
Many of them perhaps he apostates from his religion, his looses his religion, and if he doesn't lose all of his religion he looses some of it.
I mention this because this disobedience is the reason, the reason for getting this language."

How To Advise Your Brother

How To Advise Your Brother

Shaykh Abdul Razzaaq al-Badr حفظه الله

Ibn Katheer mentioned in his Tafseer:

There used to be a man from the people of Shaam who was physically strong, and he used to pay visits to Umar Ibn al-Khattaab رضي الله عنه. Umar رضي الله عنه noticed his absence (i.e., the man stopped visiting him), so he asked: “What has so-and-so done?” They informed him that the man has become an alcoholic.

So, Umar رضي الله عنه called for his scribe and asked him to write: “From Umar Ibn al-Khattaab to so-and-so. Salaamun Alaika! To proceed… Praise be to Allaah, there is none worthy of worship except Him…

{The Forgiver of sin, the Acceptor of repentance, the Severe in punishment, the Bestower (of favors), none has the right to be worshiped but Him, (and) to Him is the final return.}” [Surah Ghaafir (40):3]

Then Umar رضي الله عنه said to his companions: “Supplicate to Allaah for your brother that he accepts the letter with an open heart and that Allaah guides him to repentance.”

When the man received the letter from Umar رضي الله عنه, he continued to read the Aayah, reciting to himself over and over again. Then he said: ‘Allaah has warned me against His punishment and promised to accept my repentance.’

Consequently, the man stopped drinking and returned to steadfastness.
When this news reached Umar رضي الله عنه, he said to the people: “This is how you should be.
If you see your brother fall into error, then straighten and guide him, and supplicate to Allaah to guide him towards repentance. Do not help the Shaitaan against him.”

[Tafseer Ibn Katheer. Surah Ghaafir]

🎓 Shaikh Abdul Razzaaq al-Badr حفظه الله commented:

Therefore, I recommend you to read this narration, which is mentioned in the starting (Aayaat) of the Tafseer of Surah Ghaafir, in Tafseer of Ibn Katheer.

I recommend you to read it a couple of times, till the heart fully absorbs it and it becomes part of one’s personality.

I also recommend you spread this incident of `Umar Ibn al-Khattaab رضي الله عنه (among the people). I recommend you widely circulate this story till the Khair (virtuous characteristic) becomes widespread, till this kindness becomes widespread, till this compassion and mercy become widespread.

The sinners in this age, such doors (of evil) have been opened for them that were not present before…

…that were not present in the times of the earlier generations.

The doors of extreme (evils) have been opened for them, and they are in a need of those who can be compassionate towards them…

…those who will pray for their (guidance)…

…those who will be gentle towards them…

…those who will supplicate to Allaah to pardon them…

…and (that He تعالى) makes them accept (the truth) with an open heart, and that (He تعالى) removes the Fitan (afflictions and immoralities) from them…

…and that (He تعالى) protects them from their evil selves, and from the evil of the Shayaateen, and the evils of Fitan…

They are in need of all of this.

They are in need of compassion, they are in need of gentleness, they are in need of those who can bring them closer to goodness and guide them (towards the truth) with gentleness, and supplicates for them.

And it does not suit a person that he approaches these people – who have been exposed to such great evils, and while Fitan (tribulations and immorality) is trying to sweep them away from every direction – that he comes to them and helps the Shaitaan against them by cursing (them), supplicating against them, and disgracing them.

This is not required. One should not do so. Rather, what is needed is that a person is compassionate and gentle.

Dowry is an evil of Hindu society by Ustad Mohtaram Maulana Ala-ud-Din Nadwi

Dowry is an evil of Hindu society by Ustad Mohtaram Maulana Ala-ud-Din Nadwi

Dowry is the scourge of the Indian society, which has created rot and decay in the whole body, the whole society is affected by its corrupt and poisonous blood.

This is the satanic temptation of time which is playing the game of fire and blood, its demand has made families sleepless, the worry of providing it has removed the distinction between halal and haram from people's minds.

How many noble women have fallen in love with him, how many daughters are dying of suffocation and I don't know how many new brides are there that due to the lack of "required requests" their gatherings of marriage and happiness become mourning and regret!

And today again - in the glare of the present civilization - the history of distant ignorance is being repeated with innocent daughters.

Her chastity, her youth, her ambitions are being buried in the graveyard of dowry.

Today, the young man is facing the stubborn enemy of his self, he seems to be fighting against humanity and decency, as if he has taken off the cloak of honor, courage and manhood.

And greed has become a priest,

Today, an auction is going on in the bazaar of young dowry and boys are bidding for it blindly and winning the game!!

A short true story of Umrah by Fayaz Ahmed from Srilanka.

A short true story of Umrah by Fayaz Ahmed from Srilanka.

This true incident happened to me at Masjid-ul Haram in Makkah, Saudi Arabia.worth Sharing I had almost finished my Umra(short pilgrimage) and was in need of financial assistance.
So I prayed to Allah, and went out of the Mosque to finish the final rites of Umra. And as I was going a Turkish man carrying a 10 liter ‘Zam Zam’ water bottle, by mistake dropped it over my head (he was 6 feet tall and i am 5.3 foot tall).
I felt an urge to shout at him but Allah made me control my temper, and instead I did Musabaha (Brotherly Embrace) with him, and forgave him. I felt really good at heart and went to my hotel with inner happiness.
There was still pain on my head, yet I had no choice but to go on with it and finish off my Umrah, by shaving my head or at least trimming it.
I left for the barber with 10 riyal note clutched on to my hand. I told the barber to shave my head and sat down. He started it and when he finished, I gave the money to him. Astonishingly I didn't feel any pain during the process.
Then I saw a man behind me who recognized me even though I could barely recognize myself in the mirror after the shave. He was the same Turkish man. I greeted him and asked if he spoke English.
He said yes. We had a friendly conversation and i asked him to dine with me on an Asian food prepared by me. He agreed and after the meal he left thanking me with kind words. As I prepared to leave the hotel to go to Sri Lanka-my motherland the next day, I found out that my hotel bills have been paid by that Turkish man and a roll of bank notes summing up to 1000 riyal was left by the Turkish man with the receptionist for me. I thanked Allah and prayed for that man and left Saudi Arabia to Sri lanka. It was that day that i realized that the best way to show courage is by Love. This True Story was contributed by Fayaz Ahmed from Srilanka.

4 REASONS WHY A MUSLIM MUST NOT CELEBRATE NEW YEAR

4 REASONS WHY A MUSLIM MUST NOT CELEBRATE NEW YEAR.

All praise be to Allah.

It is beyond doubt that a large number of Muslims get into the festive mood to celebrate New Year’s Eve.

People are wishing each other and even party the whole night.

You may also find many post status updates on social media and celebrate with zeal and zest.

Now the question arises, if this practice is haram and should it be avoided?

Islamically, it is wrong to celebrate it.

SOME OF THE REASONS FOR THIS ARE:

1. IT IS INACCURATE AND PAGAN.

Muslims have their own calendar and it is being used since 1400 years.
We do use a Gregorian calendar because of the circumstance beyond our control but our festivals and important dates fall on our calendar.

The Gregorian calendar is solar but our Islamic calendar is Lunar.

According to our Hijri calendar (initiated by the great Sahaaba Umar (RA), the new year actually begins on the first of MUHARRAM.

The Gregorian Calendar was developed by Pope Gregory.
The first of JANUARY was decided as new years eve to celebrate the circumcision of Jesus.
It's origin has pagan roots and is associated with Janus – the two-headed deity who symbolizes change.

A believer must think before celebrating this day as to who they are following in celebrating this day. Pope Gregory or Umar (RA)?

2. WHAT ARE WE CELEBRATING FOR?

What is the reason for festivity?

The two Eid’s that we celebrate encourage worship to Allah, Increase our Iman and encourage us in doing good.
The days make us think about less fortunate and needy.

However, New years day doesn’t have any of such specific motive.
Instead it promotes evils in society.

Moreover, the condition of our Ummah is as such that more and more prayers are needed, we need to mend our ways. Illogically partying not only waste our time and resource but also make us indifferent towards the sufferings of our Ummah.

3. IT INVOLVES UN-ISLAMIC PRACTICES.

The idea of celebrating new years day lies in going to parties and doing stuff that is forbidden in Islam. No one goes to a Masjid and hears Imam speak good words.

4. IT IS AGAINST THE SPIRIT OF ISLAM.

Not celebrating it doesn’t mean that you have to be harsh to non-Muslims.

Be kind and warm towards them and politely tell them that this is something that harms your faith.

There are many ways to be kind to non-Muslims but that doesn’t mean you have to celebrate their festivals.

It is against the spirit of Islam to do any of the above by subordinating our own faith, culture or heritage.

Allah knows the best.

May Allah help us all.

 Aameeen.

Fear for yourselves from these people!

Fear for yourselves from these people!

It is true that the Prophet, صلى الله عليه وسلم , said:

((I only fear for my ummah the misguiding imams.))

The jurists - including the four madhhabs - agreed on the following:

Prohibition of congratulating the infidels on their religious holidays.

Today, generalists, the people of fatwas, and the people of Sharia studies came out to us saying:

1- It is permissible to congratulate

Then one of them came and said:
 2- Congratulating is mustahab.

Finally some of them came and said:

 3- Congratulating is obligatory.

So Beware from them! And fear that you might go astray because of them.

And he wrote it fearing for himself and you:

I call myself a muslim | powerful reminder

I call myself a muslim | powerful reminder

I listen to music, I call myself Muslim.

I participate in Haram festivals, I call myself Muslim.

I don’t even know how to pray properly, I call myself Muslim.

I shave my beard and don't wear my Hijab, I call myself Muslim.

My sense of clothing is revealing, I call myself Muslim.

My income is Haram, I call myself Muslim.

I backbite with my friends, I call myself Muslim.

I don’t even end the night off with Qur’an rather I watch movies but I call myself Muslim.

We do not read and understand what ALLAH has written for us. instead we read text messages sent by our friends We call ourselves Muslims.

Sounds familiar?

Think about it: Was this the life of the Prophet Muhammad [sallallahu alaihi wasallam]?

Is this what the Qur’an and Sunnah describes a believers life as?

IS THIS REALLY A MUSLIM?

Turn to ALLAH Worry about the AKHIRAH.

Do not enjoy the fake enjoyment of this world. We are Ummah of the Prophet (sallalahu alaih wasallam), live life like how he (Sallallaahu alayhi Wasallam .) lived. Offer Salah, understand Qur’an, be humble. Give Zakah, stay away from shirk and bad deeds.

“The life of this world is just the enjoyment of delusion”- [Surah Al-Imran 185] —

These words of poetry describe many of us today

These words of poetry describe many of us today.

Love in modern age and remembrance of Allah

تعصي الإله وأنت تزعم حبه * هذا لعمري في القياس شنيع

You disobey the Ilāh (Allāh) and you claim to love Him * This to me is an outrageous measurement (of love)

لو كان حبك صادقا لأطعته * إن المحب لمن يحب مطيع

If your love was truthful then you would have obeyed Him * Indeed the lover is to his Beloved obedient
