Kibr is the worst of sins
Kibr is the worst of sins because it goes against the very reason of our existence. We were created to submit to Him, kibr is all about submitting to the whims of the self. When something is built on Kibr it will not stand and when Kibr enters into something it will destroy if from the inside until it falls. It was the first reason for someone - Iblis - to be removed from Paradise and it will be the first reason why others will not be granted access to it!
I ask Allah not only to protect me against kibr put also to remove it from my heart and to forgive me for all the times I had kibr in my heart - knowingly and unknowingly -, and I ask Him the same for anyone who feels that this du'a does apply to them also.
