Story of Yaqub (A. S) Surah Yusuf Verse 86
Yaqub (alaihi wasalam) suppressed his sorrow and did not complain to any created being. “Yaqub (alaihi wasalam) was aggrieved, sorrowful and sad. He became blind as a result of his grief and weeping. Yaqub (alaihiwasalaam) children felt pity, sorrow and compassion for him.
They said, `If you continue like this, we fear for you that you might die of grief,.
He said: “I only complain of my grief and sorrow to Allah alone.”
And his eyes became white from grief, for he was a suppressor.” He said: “I only complain of my grief and sorrow to Allah, and I know from Allah that which you know not.” [Surah Yusuf V.86]
