What Happens If You Observe Fasting On The Day Of 'Arafah?
Abuu Qataadah Al-Ansaaree (may Allaah be pleased with him) narrated, "The Messenger of Allaah (ﷺ) was asked about fasting on the day of 'Arafah (the 9th of Dhul-Hijjah). He replied, 'It is an expiation for the preceding year and the following year.' He was also asked about fasting on the day of 'Aashuuraa (the 10th of Muharram). He replied, 'It is an expiation for the preceding year.'”
