Prefer Allah ‎(ﷻ)

Imam Ibn al-Qayyim (‏رحمة الله عليه) writes:

"When people seek to get rich by means of this world, you should strive to get rich by your connection to Allah. 

And when people seek happiness through this world, you should strive to attain happiness with Allah. 

And when people find comfort with their companions, you should find comfort in your relationship with Allah. 

And when people go to their kings and leaders to ask for this world and to become noble, then you should go to your Mawlā and attain nobility through servitude to Him."
