Saying of 4 imams about something that contradicts the book of Allah

Imaam Abu Hanifa رحمه الله said:

"If I ever say something that contradicts the book of Allaah and the hadith of the Prophet, then leave my statement."

Imaam Maalik Ibn Anas رحمه الله said:

"I am human; I say things that are correct and I err. Thus, investigate my view; all that which confirms to the Qur'aan and Sunnah, accept it and all that which does not confirm to the Qur'aan and Sunnah, reject it."

Imaam Ash-Shafi'i رحمه الله said:

"Muslims are in agreement that when a person knows of a Sunnah reported from the Prophet, it is unlawful for him to leave it favouring someone else's view."

"Whoever rejects the hadith of the Prophet is a person on the edge of doom."
