RAZINAH was the servant of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, the freed slave of his wife Safiyyah, and a narrator of hadith.
When the Prophet ﷺ married Safiyyah, he included in her dowry a servant, and this servant was Razinah.
Amatullah, Razinah's daughter, said,
"I asked my mother (Razinah), 'What did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say concerning the fast of 'Ashura'?'
She said, 'Surely, he used to fast it, and he commended us to fast it.'
• RUFAYDAH al-Aslamiyyah is known as the first nurse in Islam.
When Sa'd bin Mu'adh was injured in the Battle of the Trench and his median vein was cut, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
Place him in the tent of Rufaydah which is in the masjid, until I can visit him shortly.
In addition to nursing the sick, Rufaydah took it upon herself to serve the needy and underprivileged Muslims.
