The relationship between Sabr (patience) and Imaan(Faith)

Shaikh al-Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah رحمه الله said that Alee bin Abu Taalib رضي الله عنه said:

“Verily! The relationship between Sabr (patience) and Imaan (Faith) is like how a head is to the body – if the head is cut off, then what good is the body.” He (Alee رضي الله عنه) then raised his voice and said: “Verily! (A person) has no Imaan if he has no Sabr.”
