The two foundations of the Deen | Dhikr and Shukr

The two foundations of the Deen: 

Dhikr (Rememberance of Allah), and Shukr (Gratitude to Allah).

Dhikr is not just Dhikr by the tongue, rather Dhikr is by the heart and the tongue. And the Rememberance of Allah includes the Rememberance of His names and attributes, His commands and prohibitions, and Rememberance through His speech (The Qur'an). 

And that obligates knowing about Him, having Imaan (faith) in Him, and in His perfect attributes, and His Noble characteristics, and praising Him with various kinds of praise. 

And that cannot be completed except by upholding Tawheed. 

So true Dhikr obligates all of that, and also obligates remembering His blessings and favors and excellence toward His creation.
