When an order comes, follow it and do not ask if it is waajib or  mustahab

Advice from Shaikh Ibn uthaimeen رحمه الله

When the command for prohibition (nahy) comes, stay away from it and do not ask if it is forbidden(haraam) or disliked(makrooh)

When an order comes, follow it and do not ask if it is obligatory(waajib) or recommended(mustahab)

As the companions رضي الله عنهم، if the messenger of Allaah صلى الله عليه وسلم command something, they do not say : "O messenger of Allaah, you intended waajib or mustahab?" They do immediately.
