THE DAUGHTER OF KHABBAB BIN AL-ARATT
was from the Companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.
She said, "Khabbab went out on a mission, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ agreed to milk our goat for us.
When he would milk our goat, its milk would overflow in abundance.
When Khabbab returned and milked the goat, its milk returned to normal. We said to Khabbab:
كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَحْلُبُهَا حَتَّى تَمْتَلِيَّ جَفْنَتُنَا، فَلَمَّا حَلَيْتَهَا نَقَصَ حِلَابُهَا
"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to milk her and our bowls would fill when you began to milk her, our milk decreased."
Her father Khabbab is the narrator of the hadith concerning the trial of the previous nations.
Khabbab said,
"We complained to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ of the persecution inflicted on us by the pagans while he was sitting in the shade of the Ka'bah, leaning over his covering sheet.
We said to him, 'Would you seek help for us?
Would you pray to Allah for us?"
He ﷺ said:
"Among the nations before you, a (believing) man would be put in a ditch that was dug for him, and a saw would be put over his head and he would be cut into two pieces yet that (torture) would not make him give up his religion.
His body would be combed with iron combs that would remove his flesh from the bones and nerves, yet that would not make him abandon his religion.
By Allah, this religion will prevail until a traveler from San'a (in Yemen) to Hadramawt will fear none but Allah, or fear a wolf regarding his sheep but you (people) are hasty."
