Biography of the THE SISTER OF NU'MAN BIN BASHIR
Is from the Companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.
She witnessed one of the many miracles of the Prophet ﷺ.
She said, "My mother, Amrah bint Rawahah, called me one day and gave me a handful of dates in a garment.
She said, 'My dear daughter, go to your father and your uncle, Abdullah bin Rawahah, with their lunch.'
So I took the dates and headed towards them.
I passed by the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while seeking my father and my uncle.
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Come here, dear child what is this you have?'
I said, O Messenger of Allah, these are dates.
My mother sent me to take them to my father, Bashir bin Sa'd, and my uncle, 'Abdullah bin Rawahah, for their lunch.'
He ﷺ said, 'Give them to me.'
So I poured them into the palm of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.
The dates were not enough to fill his palm.
Then he asked for a garment, and he laid it out and spread the dates on top of it.
The dates began to scatter and multiply on top of the garment.
He ﷺ said:
أَصْرُخُ فِي أَهْلِ الْخَنْدَقِ : أَنْ هَلُمَّ إِلَى الْغَدَاءِ.
"Call the people of the trench to come quickly for their lunch.'
"The people of the trench gathered and began eating from it, and the dates began to increase until the dates were falling off the edge of the garment.
There were 3000 of them that day eating from the dates."
