The Correct Creed Concerning the Six Pillars of Imān
From the totality of the creed of Ahlus-Sunnah wal Jamaa'ah (ie. the people of the Prophetic Way and the Group) is Imān (i.e, true faith) in Allah and the Angels and His Books (ie. His Scriptures) and the Messengers (may the peace and commendations of Allah be upon them) and the Resurrection after Death and Imān in AI-Qadar (ie. the pre decree of Allah).
So having Imān in Allah is to confim His Ruboobiyyah (iLe. His Lordship over all things and His creating and providing for all chings and giving life and death to all chings and His being All Powerful and in control over all things.) and His Uloohiyyah (ie. His right to be worshipped to the exclusion of all other things) and His Asmä was-Sifaat (iLe. His Most Beautiful Names and Perfect and Complete Attributes). And elucidation of this has proceeded.
Belief in the Angels
Imān in the Angels is by believing in their existence and what was mentioned to us of their names and their tasks.
He جل جلاله said :
To Him belongs whosoever is in the heavens and on earth. And those who are near Him (i.e. the angels) are not too proud to worship Him, nor are they weary (of His worship).
They (i.e. the angels) glorify His Praises night and day, (and) they never slacken (to do so).
[Al-Anbiya 21:19 & 20]
He جل جلاله also said :
All the praises and thanks be to Allâh, the (only) Originator [or the (Only) Creator] of the heavens and the earth, Who made the angels messengers with wings, two or three or four. He increases in creation what He wills. Verily, Allâh is Able to do all things.
[Fatir 35:1]
The Refutation of the Statermnent of the Mushrikũn: "The Angels are the Daughters of Allah"
And Allah has refuted the statement of the mushrikūn (ie. the polytheists, Arab pagans) that the Angels are the daughters of Allah. He is extremely far above all that the wrongdoers say about Him.
Thus He جل جلاله said :
And they say: "The Most Gracious (Allâh) has begotten a son (or children)." Glory to Him! They [whom they call children of Allâh i.e. the angels, ‘Îsâ (Jesus) - son of Maryam (Mary), ‘Uzair (Ezra)], are but honoured slaves.
They speak not until He has spoken, and they act on His Command.
He knows what is before them, and what is behind them, and they cannot intercede except for him with whom He is pleased. And they stand in awe for fear of Him.
[Al-Anbiya 21:26-28]
