Raise Your Hands in Supplication: The Powerful Practice of Qunut An-Naazilah
بســـم اللــه الرحــمــن الـرحـــيــم◾️Raising the hands in the Qunut An-Naazilah◾️
By our Shaykh, the 'Allāmah, the Trustworthy Advisor, Abu 'Abdirrahmān Yahya bin 'Ali Al-Hajūri - may Allāh preserve him - on the 8th, Rabee' Al-Aakhir, 1445H
And rasing the hands in Qunut (🤲🏾) has been reported via 'Umar and Ibn Mas'ood and Ibn 'Abbaas and Abi Hurairah, and Imaam Ahmed relayed a Hadeeth from Anas concerning the Hadeeth of the 70 learned men that were killed by a district from the tribe of Bani Sulaim (Ri'l and Dhakwaan).
He said: "I have not seen the Prophet ﷺ feel that much sorrow upon anything ever before than he did upon them. For indeed I saw him every time he prayed the morning prayer, he raised his hands and made du'aa against them."
And indeed he used to make du'aa against them in the Qunut of Fajr as preceded. (The Shaykh interjects), "In Qunut of Fajr and other than it, in all (obligatory) prayers (1)."
🎙"I say as for in this condition that we the Muslims are now in of being overpowered, indeed the du'aa could relieve a person of some of the pain he is in. That he calls upon Allaah and has optimism concerning Allaah, it could be incumbent upon us!
With what can we help them with now, what can we do for them? If we don't make Qunut, perhaps he will become heedless sometimes. So there's no problem in du'aa and the raising of the hands, du'aa is a good affair and the raising of the hands."

Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullaahi wa Barakaatuhu
"I asked our Shaykh the Allaamah the Muhaddith Yahyaa bin Ali Al-Hajooree may Allaah preserve him and keep him safe during Dhuhaa of this day of ours, is the Qunut to be done in the Jumu'ah prayer?, so he said: "Qunut in the Jumu'ah prayer is a newly invented matter, there is no evidence for it."
