Deeds which are Equal to the Reward of Hajj

1️⃣ – Going to the Masjid to Learn*

Abu Umamah (رضي الله عنه) that the Messenger of Allaah (ﷺ) said:

*«مَنْ غَدَا إِلَى الْمَسْجِدِ لا يُرِيدُ إِلا أَنْ يَتَعَلَّمَ خَيْرًا أَوْ يَعْلَمَهُ، كَانَ لَهُ كَأَجْرِ حَاجٍّ تَامًّا حِجَّتُهُ»*

*_“Whoever went to the Masjid not wanting except to learn goodness or to teach it then he has the reward equal to a person performing Hajj completely.”_*

[Sunan Abi Dawud, Hadith: 559]

*2️⃣ – Going to Pray in Congregation in the Masjid*

Abu Umamah narrated that the Messenger of Allaah (ﷺ) said:

*مَنْ خَرَجَ مِنْ بَيْتِهِ مُتَطَهِّرًا إِلَى صَلَاةٍ مَكْتُوبَةٍ فَأَجْرُهُ كَأَجْرِ الْحَاجِّ الْمُحْرِمِ، وَمَنْ خَرَجَ إِلَى تَسْبِيحِ الضُّحَى لَا يَنْصِبُهُ إِلَّا إِيَّاهُ فَأَجْرُهُ كَأَجْرِ الْمُعْتَمِرِ، وَصَلَاةٌ عَلَى أَثَرِ صَلَاةٍ لَا لَغْوَ بَيْنَهُمَا كِتَابٌ فِي عِلِّيِّينَ*

*_“Whoever leaves his home having Wudu going to pray the obligatory prayer then his reward is equal to the person performing Hajj whilst in the state of Ihram.”_*

*_Whoever goes out to pray the Dhuha prayer in the Masjid nothing tires him out except that then his reward is that of a person performing Umrah._*

*_Praying a prayer after another prayer where no falsehood takes place between them then that is written in the Book of good deeds.’_*

*The scholar of Hadeeth, Shaykh AbdulMuhsin Al-Abbad (رضي الله عنه) - commented:*

_‘This means, that whoever performed Wudu and went out to the Masjid wanting to perform a prayer from the obligatory prayers, which Allaah has obligated upon him, which are the five prayers. For this, his reward is like the reward of a person in the state of Ihraam performing the Hajj who wears the clothing of Hajj._

_This means, that Allaah Ta’ala rewards the similar to a person in the state of Ihraam Performing the Hajj._

_One person went out to perform an obligatory prayer and the person in the state of Ihraam went out to perform a great worship, so the reward of that person is similar to the reward of this person. Allaah’s virtue is vast.’_

*3️⃣ – Praying Fajr in Congregation then waiting for sunrise to pray Dhuha*

From Anas  Ibn Malik (رضي الله عنه) said that the Messenger of Allaah (ﷺ) said:

*«مَنْ صَلَّى الْغَدَاةَ فِي جَمَاعَةٍ ثُمَّ قَعَدَ يَذْكُرُ اللَّهَ حَتَّى تَطْلُعَ الشَّمْسُ ثُمَّ صَلَّى رَكْعَتَيْنِ كَانَتْ لَهُ كَأَجْرِ حَجَّةٍ وَعُمْرَةٍ تَامَّةٍ تَامَّةٍ تَامَّةٍ»*

*_“Whoever prays Fajr in the congregation then sits remembering Allaah until the sun rises then prayers two Rakah then he will receive the reward of Hajj and Umrah, complete, complete,_ complete.”*
