Democracy and Sharia law | Reality of Democracy
Pro-democracy: Lūṭ should have accepted the perversion of his people since they represented the majority of society. He should have respected their right to perversion on the basis of ‘inclusion’ and ‘diversity’.
Pro-liberal: Lūṭ had no right to prohibit the perversion of his people as they were free to do as they wish, especially since they weren’t harming anyone.
Pro-secular: What does religion have to do with the sexual activities of two consenting parties?
Pro-scientism: The people of Lūṭ were excused for their misbehavior as they suffered from a genetic defect that made them attracted to the same gender.
Islam: Lūṭ was unable to stop his people from their perversion, but he made it a point to prohibit them and advise them, while also completely denouncing and hating their actions with his heart. Then he left them by divine command after repeatedly advising them to no avail.
☄️ Then the divine punishment descended:
فَلَمَّا جَآءَ أَمْرُنَا جَعَلْنَا عَٰلِيَهَا سَافِلَهَا وَأَمْطَرْنَا عَلَيْهَا حِجَارَةً مِّن سِجِّيلٍۢ مَّنضُودٍۢ
“When Our command came, We turned [the cities] upside down and rained down on them clustered stones of baked clay.” [Hūd 11:82]
💫 The reality: Democracy, Liberalism, Secularism and Scientism all oppose Islam in its fundamental teachings, legislations, values and way of life. There is nothing that links them to Islam, just like there is nothing that links Īmān to Kufr. They are two opposites that can never come together.
