Repentance Draws Allah's Mercy story of Bani Israil
During the time of Musa عليه سلم , the Bani Isra'il were afflicted with a severe drought. Together, they begged Allah for rain, but to no avail. The heat became more intense and the skies remained cloudless.
Musa عليه سلم then cried out to Allah, "O Allah, if my status means nothing to You, then I beseech You by the grace of Muhammad( sallallahu alaihi wasallam ) to please grant us rain."
Allah sent a revelation down to him: "Your status is noble in My sight, however, there is a person amongst you, who has disobeyed Me for forty years. It is because of him, that I am withholding the rains from you."
Musa ( علیه السلام)stood up and addressed the congregation. "O sinner, who has disobeyed Allah for 40 years, please leave this gathering."
When the sinner heard the announcement, he thought to himself, "If I stand up in this gathering to leave, the entire Bani Isra'il will realise that I am the guilty one." He lowered his head in shame and implored, "O my Allah, I beg for Your forgiveness."
Immediately the rain came down in torrents.
Musa (علیه السلام) asked, "O Allah, why did You send us rain?"
Allah SWT replied, "Due to the sinner who has repented."
Musa علیه السلام asked, "O Allah, will you please reveal his identity to me?"
Allah SWT answered, "When I did not reveal his identity as a sinner, how can I now expose him when he has sincerely repented?"
LESSONS :
🍁From this Waqia We got a lesson that person who repented was responsible enough that he accepted his sin & asked forgiveness and repented but we in now days instead of pointing on ourselves instead of seeing our faults we seek in others
🍁Allāh ﷻ withholding the rain for the People of Banu israil only for One (1)sinner who sinned for 40 years think about now how Many sinners are there now at this times?
May Allah SWT forgive our shortcomings & guide all of us to straight path AAMEEN
