Gift of prayer on the miraculous night of Al Isra Wal Mi,raj

On the miraculous night of Al Isra wal Mi’raj, Allah (SWT) gave the Prophet (ﷺ) the gift of prayer—salah.

The Prophet (ﷺ) told us something very beautiful: “The coolness of my eyes has been placed in the prayer.” (وَجُعِلَتْ قُرَّةُ عَيْنِي فِي الصَّلاَةِ). Prayer was a means of relief, comfort, and tranquility for the Prophet (ﷺ). In a narration found in Sahih Muslim, the Prophet ﷺ also said that the prayer is a light for us (الصَّلَاةُ نُوْرٌ).

When he would ask Bilal (R) to call the adhan and prepare for salah, the Prophet (ﷺ) would say: “Oh Bilal, bring us comfort by announcing the prayer.”(يَا بِلاَلُ أَقِمِ الصَّلاَةَ أَرِحْنَا بِهَا). The prayer was such a powerful means by which the Prophet (ﷺ) found strength with His Lord.

Salah is a way for us to find comfort in times of difficulty, and healing in moments of pain.

Join the Salah, and learn to pray like the Prophet (ﷺ):
