If life doesn't become beautiful by getting closer to Allah

One of the great scholars of our time, Sheikh Mukhtar Shanqiti, said: "By Allah, if life doesn't become beautiful by getting closer to Allah, it will not become beautiful by anything else"

Let's think about this for a minute. 

We all want a beautiful and pleasant life. Everyone goes about trying to achieve that in their own way. 

But here we have the thought of a great scholar on how to achieve our goal of a beautiful and pleasant life. 

Scholars, for 1400 years, have always been the happiest people because they are close to Allah. 

The Prophet (ﷺ) had a truly beautiful life, even though he hardly ever had good food, and even though he slept on a straw mat which left marks on his back. 

So what will you do from now to ensure a pleasant and beautiful life?
