The consensuses in Tafsir Ibn Katheer (Introduction - Suratul Faatihah - Al-Baqara - Aal-i-Imraan)
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
1 - Suratul Faatihah is seven verses.
2 - It is a must to recite the Quran in Salaat.
3 - Al-Basmalah (saying Bismillaah Ar-Rahmaan Ar-Raheem) is a verse from Suratul-Naml.
4 - The correctness of the Salaat of he who pronounces the Basmalah audibly or silently.
5 - As-Siraat Ul-Mustaqim is the clear path.
6 - The ones who went astray and the ones whom the wrath of Allaah is upon are the Jews and the Nasaara.
7 - Suratul-Baqarah: All of it is Madaniyyah (revealed in Madeenah).
8 - Ar-Rayb: meaning Shakk (doubt).
9 - Faith is speech and action it increases and decreases.
10 - Allaah described Himself with sealing and printing on the hearts of the disbelievers as a recompense for their disbelief.
11 - Al-Qaadhi (The Judge) does not kill with his mere knowledge but there has to be clear proof or confession.
12 - Plotting and betraying in a way of playing and jesting is negated from Allaah.
13 - 'I'jaaz Ul-Quraan (Incapability of coming with the likes of it): Is including the long and short Surah's.
14 - The earth was created before the sky.
15 - Al-Imaamah (rulership): Is obtained through textual evidence (of predecessor), or indication, or succession, or by council, or consensus of the people of power and influence, or by overpowerment.
16 - Having two leaders in one country is not allowed.
17 - Prophethood is a higher in rank than rulership.
18 - As-Salwaa is a bird.
19 - His statement ( اهْبِطُوا مِصْرًا)
"Go you down to any town" is munawwan (pronouncing the nun) masroof (accepting fathatayn) in all Mushafs.
20 - His statement
(كَالْحِجَارَةِ أَوْ أَشَدُّ قَسْوَة)
"as stones or even worse in hardness." (This أو) is not due to doubt.
21 - His statement
(مَن كَانَ عَدُوًّا لِّجِبْرِيل)
"Whoever is an enemy to Jibrael (Gabriel)", it was revealed in response to the Jews.
22 - The evil eye is real.
23 - Tale telling to incite between the people is prohibited.
24 - Allaah ﷻ is the owner of the heavens and the earth.
25 - The permissibility of abrogation in the laws of Allaah due to what it has of upmost wisdom.
26 - Permissibility of cursing the disbelievers.
27 - The one in dire need eats the food of another if he finds it but he doesn't eat the dead carcass.
28 - The obligation of Al-Wasiyyah to the parents and close relatives being abrogated.
29 - Whoever begins Hajj or Umrah it is obligatory for him to complete it.
30 - Going in order for the Fidyah (ransom) for the one who kills the game (in the state of Ihraam).
31 - The Prophet ﷺ drove the hady (sacrificial animal) in his Hajj.
32 - His statement
(وَسَبْعَةٍ إِذَا رَجَعْتُم)
"and seven days after his return (to his home)", i.e to his household.
33 - His statement
(حَاضِرِي الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ)
"present at Al-Masjid-al-Haram", the people of the Haram are intended.
34 - The Quran was revealed at one time to the sky of the Dunya from the preserved tablet.
35 - His statement
(فَرَضَ فِيهِنَّ الْحَجَّ)
"intends to perform Hajj", binding and compulsory.
36 - It is prohibited for the one doing I'tikaf (to have marital relations with his) women.
37 - His statement
( حَيْثُ أَفَاضَ النَّاسُ)
"from the place whence all the people depart", meaning Arafat.
38 - We can marry the women of the people of the book but they cannot marry our women.
39 - It is allowed to lie down and eat with the menstruating woman.
40 - If the menstrual cycle of a woman ends she is not permissible for her husband until she bathes or performs tayammum.
41 - Al-Qar': What is intended is menstruation or purification.
42 - The one who has had a khul' (marital annulment), is allowed to remarry during her waiting period.
43 - The waiting period of the one who's husband has died includes the one who has had marital relations.
44 - The pregnant one who's husband has passed away the waiting period is until she delivers.
45 - The one divorced with a non final divorce is not allowed for anyone except her husband to directly propose to her nor any hinting to her (during her waiting period for marriage).
46 - The marital contract is not correct during the term of the waiting period.
47 - Returning half of the dowry for the divorcee who has not been entered unto.
48 - His statement
(وَقُومُوا لِلَّهِ قَانِتِينَ)
"And stand before Allah with obedience", is a Madani verse (revealed in Madeenah).
49 - His statement
( وَلَٰكِن لِّيَطْمَئِنَّ قَلْبِي)
"but to be stronger in Faith", it is not intended that he was in doubt.
50 - The verse of Jizyah (tax) was revealed after the conquest.
51 - The claim of childhood (to Allah) for 'Eesa (Jesus) because he was created without a father is a statement of falsehood.
52 - Hajj is from the pillars of Islam.
53 - Hajj is obligatory at least once in a persons lifetime.
