Can humans and jinn have offspring together

Answered by our Shaykh, the 'Allāmah, the Trustworthy Advisor, Abu 'Abdirrahman Yahya bin 'Ali Al-Hajūri - may Allāh preserve him - on the 28th, Dhūl-Qa'dah, 1441H

📥Question:

A woman has been possessed and she feels as if the jinn is having intercourse with her, and she feels that she is pregnant and she is a virgin.

Is it possible to be impregnated by a jinn?

📤Answer:

There is differing concerning the possibility of a human being impregnated by a jinnī, due to incompatibility between the two, Allāh said:

 وَجَعَلَ لَكُم مِّنْ أَزْوَاجِكُم بَنِينَ وَحَفَدَةً 

"And has made for you, from your wives, sons and grandsons," 

[An-Nahl:72]

There is no certain knowledge of child born from a female human and a jinnī or the opposite.

There are some hadiths regarding humans and jinn giving birth to children but nothing of it is authentic, like the hadith:

لا تقوم الساعة حتى تكثر فيكم أولاد الجن من نسائكم

"The hour will not be established until children of your womenfolk from the jinn become in abundance."

[Silsilah Dha'īfah of Albāni (5776)]

Albāni said extremely munkar (rejected), then he clarified its weakness in chain and text.

And the second opinion: 

Is the possibility of children coming from the two, and this is the position of Ibn Taymiyyah, as comes in Al-Majmū' Al-Fatāwa (Chapter 19, pg 39): 

"And relations could occur between mankind and a jinkind and children to be born from them, and this has occurred oftenly."

And this speech fihi nadhr (i.e incorrect), and the first opinion is what is more correct in that there can not be offspring from what is made from fire and what is made from clay due the difference in the elements in pregnancy, similar to the difference between humans and animals, livestock and other than them."
