If you didn't welcome Ramadan in a better way, then at least bid it farewell well!
إن الخيل إذا شارفت نهاية المضمار
when the race horse knows that it’s nearing the end of the track
بذلت قصارى جهدها لتفوز بالسباق
it exerts all its effort to win the race
فلا تكن الخيل أفطن منك
do not allow the race horse to be more clever than you!
فإنما الأعمال بالخواتيم
for verily deeds are judged by their conclusions
فإنك إذا لم تحسن الاستقبال لعلك تحسن الوداع
so if you didn’t do well with welcoming ramadān, then perhaps you will do better bidding it farewell
