PROPHET: ADAM (عليه السلام)

PART: 23

PROGENY OF ADAM (ISLAMIC POINT OF VIEW)

Imam Abu Ja’far bin Jarir has mentioned in his book of history: Eve gave birth to forty children in twenty pregnancies. In another version it is suggested that she had 120 pregnancies and in every birth, there was one boy and one girl.

The oldest of them was Cain and his sister Qalima, and the youngest of them were Abdul-Mughith and his sister Umm-ul-Mughith.

Mankind then multiplied and scattered throughout the land, they grew in their number and went farther and farther in the land.

 Allah says:

“ O mankind! Fear your Lord, Who had created you from a single person, and from him He created his spouse and from them both He scattered many men and many women. ”

(4:1)

Historians have said that Adam saw four hundred thousand of his children and grandchildren before he died. Allah Knows Best!

Allah Says:

“It is He (Allah) Who has created you from a single person (Adam), and (then) He has created from him his wife [Hawwa (Eve)], in order that he might enjoy the pleasure of living with her.

When he had sexual relation with her, she became pregnant and she carried it about lightly. Then when it became heavy, they both invoked Allah,

their Lord (saying): "If You give us a Salih (good in every aspect) child, we shall indeed be among the grateful."

But when He gave them a Salih (good in every aspect) child, they ascribed partners to Him (Allah) in that which He has given to them. High be Allah, Exalted above all that they ascribe as partners to Him.

 ” (7:189-190)

NOTE:  "This occurred by followers of some religion, not from Adam (or Hawwa).''
