Biography of the UMM AD-DAHDAH
is the wife of Abud-Dahdah.

Their story has been collected in Sahih Muslim.
Anas narrated, "An orphan disputed with Abu Lubabah concerning a date tree.
The orphan wanted to erect his wall, but the date tree belonging to Abu Lubabah was impeding this.
The Prophet ﷺ ruled in favor of Abu Lubabah, and the orphan began to cry.
The Prophet ﷺ said to Abu Lubabah,
'Give him your date tree.'
But Abu Lubabah refused.
The Prophet ﷺ said,
'Give him your date tree and you will have a date branch in Paradise as compensation.'
Abu Lubabah said, 'No.'
"Abud-Dahdah overheard the conversation and went to Abu Lubabah and said,
'Will you sell me your one date tree for my garden of date trees?'
Abu Lubabah said, 'Yes.'
Abud-Dahdah went to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, 'O Messenger of Allah, if I give that date tree you requested for the orphan, will I have a date branch in Paradise?'
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Yes.'
Abud-Dahdah went to his wife said, 'Umm ad-Dahdah, leave the garden, because I have given it as a loan to my Lord the Exalted.'
She said, "That is a successful trade, O Abud-Dahdah.'
She then moved her children and belongings to their new location."
Abud-Dahdah was killed in the Battle of Uhud, and the Messenger of Allah said ﷺ:
كَمْ مِنْ عِذْقٍ مُعَلَّق فِي الْجَنَّةِ لِأَبِي الدَّحْدَاح.
How many hanging date branches will Abud-Dahdah have in Paradise!
Umm ad-Dahdah died during the lifetime of the Prophet ﷺ, and he led the Janazah prayer for her.
