Biography of the UMM AL-KHAYR Salma bint Sakhar
is the mother of Abu Bakr aş-Şiddiq. She was from the first and foremost to embrace Islam.
At-Tabarānī narrated that Ibn 'Abbas said, "Abu Bakr's mother embraced Islam, as did 'Uthman's mother, az-Zubayr's mother, 'Abdur-Rahman bin 'Awf's mother, and 'Ammar bin Yasir's mother."
Abu Bakr brought his mother to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said,
"O Messenger of Allah, this is my mother, invite her to Islam and supplicate for her."
He supplicated for her and he invited her to Islam, and she embraced Islam.
