UMM KULTHUM (رضي الله عنها)
Umm Kulthum was the fourth child of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ after Qasim, Zaynab, and Ruqayyah.
Her First Marriage:
She was married to 'Utaybah bin Abi Lahab, and then he divorced her without consummating the marriage.
Her Second Marriage:
After her sister Ruqayyah died, she married 'Uthman bin 'Affan while she was still a virgin.
This marriage took place during the month of Rabi' al-Awwal in 3 AH.
She did not give birth to any children.
Her Death:
Umm Kulthum died during the month of Sha'ban in 9 AH Upon her death,
the Prophet ﷺ said:
لَوْ كُنَّ عَشْرًا لِزَوَّجْتُهُنَّ عُثْمَانَ.
If there were 10 of them, I would surely marry them to 'Uthman.
Anas bin Malik said:
شتهدْنَا بِنْتَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَرَسُولُ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم جَالِسٌ عَلَى القَبْرِ، فَرَأَيْتُ عَيْنَيْهِ تَدْمَعَانِ فَقَالَ هَلْ فِيكُمْ مِنْ أَحَدٍ لمْ يُقَارِفِ اللَّيْلَةَ. فَقَالَ أَبُو طَلْحَةَ أَنَا . قَالَ فَانْزِلْ فِي قَبْرِهَا .
We were in the funeral procession of the daughter of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , and he was sitting near the grave and I saw his eyes full of tears.
He said, "Is there anyone amongst you who did not surrender last night?
"Abu Talhah replied in the affirmative.
So the Messenger of Allah told him to descend into her grave (to bury her).

Some Notes from the book 📙
Chapter Umm Kalthum:
- 'Uthman bin 'Affan was married to two daughters of the Prophet ﷺ (at different times) Ruqayyah and Umm Kulthum.
For this reason, he was called
"the Possessor of Two Lights."
- Umm Kulthum was around 28 years old according to the Islamic calendar when she died.
- Story of Umm Kalthum's First Husband 'Utaybah and the Lion:
'Utaybah bin Abi Lahab used to revile the Prophet, so the Prophet supplicated against him, saying:
" اللهم سلط عليه كلباً من كلابك "
"O Allah, send one of Your dogs against him."
'Utaybah went out with a caravan heading towards Syria.
He halted at some place and said,
"I fear the supplication of Muhammad."
They said to him, "No, don't worry."
They surrounded him with their luggage and stood guard over him, then a lion came and snatched him and took him away.
- The hadith what i posted in the story of Umm Kalthum the prophet ﷺ said
"is there anyone amoungst you who did not surrender last night?".
The meaning of this is: "is there anyone who did not have intimate relations with his spouse last night?"
(Sahih al bukhari 1342)
