SUMMARY OF THE QUR'ĀN JUZ 4 PART 1
﷽
➖➖➖
This Summary of the Fourth Juz' commences at Surah Al Imran Ayah 92 and concludes at Ayah 23 of Surah An Nisaa.
Having appealed to the Christians in the preceding part of Aal-e-‘Imran and the Jews in the previous chapter, Allah ﷻ now directs His verses to the Muslim community.
🔷This Juz begins with a challenge to every believer saying that never will you be righteous until you spend [in the way of Allah ] from that which you love. [3:92]
🔷Construction of the Ka’aba submission and humility of Prophet Ibrahim عليه السلام & Our Duty to love and Visit [3:96-97]
🔷This Juz also contains the very famous ayah
O you who have believed, fear Allah as He should be feared and do not die except as Muslims [in submission to Him]. [3:102]
This is the ayah we hear in Qutbatul hajja and also at the beginning of every Friday Sermon.
🔷The importance of holding fast to the rope of Allah ﷻ and the significance of unity and not splitting. [3:103]
🔷The Muslim Ummah has been described as the best nation to come forth for humanity by virtue of their enjoining the good and prohibiting the evil. [3:104-110]
🔷The evil effects of disobedience are shown to us by the example of the Battle of Uhud;
🔷Adopting Patience and Taqwa while facing calamities and problems. [3:120]
🔷During the Battle of Badr the Muslims were only 313 in number and did not even have sufficient arms to fight with. On the other hand, the Mushrikeen were over a thousand and were armed to the teeth.
However, Allah ﷻ sent thousands of angels to assist the Muslim army and they convincingly vanquished the enemy. This battle was the first battle that the Muslims fought. [3:123-127]
🔷A Muhsin is the one who gives charity in hard times and easy times, while healthy or ill, and in all conditions. He controls his anger and forgives and pardons those who wrong him. [3:134]
🔷To Avenge their defeat at Badr, the Mushrikeen of Makkah mustered large force to attack Madinah the following year. The two armies locked in combat near Mount Uhud.
The Muslims were on the brink of victory when a dispute between some Muslims resulted in their defeat. Instead of remaining at their posts as instructed, they left their posts to gather the booty. [3:121, 3:152-155]
