What to do if someone has fallen short in the rights of his close relatives
Ibn Taymiyyah (rahimahullah):If a slave finds that he has fallen short in the rights of his close relatives, family (spouse, parents, siblings), children, neighbors or his brothers (companions), then upon him is to make du’a for them and to seek forgiveness (from Allah) (istighfar).
