The fact that mankind were created weak doesn't justify submission to our weaknesses.
A Muslim is required to firmly believe in Allāh and His Promise, and to continue to strive in pursuit of His Pleasure, irrespective of the obstacles and challenges one faces along the way.
This is the essence of Ji_hādun-Nafs: Striving to overcome human weaknesses.
الْمُؤْمِنُ الْقَوِيُّ خَيْرٌ وَأَحَبُّ إِلَى اللَّهِ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِ الضَّعِيفِ وَفِي كُلٍّ خَيْرٌ احْرِصْ عَلَى مَا يَنْفَعُكَ وَاسْتَعِنْ بِاللَّهِ وَلاَ تَعْجِزْ وَإِنْ أَصَابَكَ شَىْءٌ فَلاَ تَقُلْ لَوْ أَنِّي فَعَلْتُ كَانَ كَذَا وَكَذَا . وَلَكِنْ قُلْ قَدَرُ اللَّهِ وَمَا شَاءَ فَعَلَ فَإِنَّ لَوْ تَفْتَحُ عَمَلَ الشَّيْطَانِ
The strong believer is better and more beloved to Allāh than the weak believer, although in both there is good. Strive for that which will benefit you, seek the help of Allāh, and do not feel helpless. If anything befalls you, do not say, 'if only I had done such and such' rather say ' the decree of Allāh and whatever he wills, He does." For 'If' opens (the door) to the deeds of Shaytān.
