UMM AS-SA'IB
also known as Umm al-Musayyib is mentioned in the narration collected in Sahih Muslim.
Jabir bin 'Abdillah said that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ visited her when she was sick and said:
"Umm as Sa'ib or Umm al-Musayyib, why are you shivering?"
She said, "It is fever, and may it not be blessed by Allah,"
whereupon he (the Prophet ﷺ) said,
"Don't curse fever, for it expiates the sin of the children of Adam just as a furnace removes the alloy of iron."
